I am a certified Adult Mental Health First Aid Instructor. I have certified over 100 new Adult Mental Health First Aiders over the last three years.

Offered Monthly, every 2nd Thursday of every month

This ONLINE course covers:

Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges.

Common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges.

How to interact with a person in crisis.

How to connect a person with help.

Expanded content on trauma, substance use, and self-care.

You will learn how to use the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE):

Assess for risk of suicide or harm.

Listen non-judgmentally.

Give reassurance and information.

Encourage appropriate professional help

Encourage self-help and other support strategies.

2 hours of self-paced prework before the start of the course
